La Poste acquires a stake in Nouveal e-santé

La Poste is pursuing its development in healthcare and e-healthcare by acquiring a minority interest in Nouveal e-santé, an operator in patient journey digitization.

The La Poste group has commenced exclusive negotiations to acquire a minority interest in Nouveal e-santé. La Poste will therefore join the existing shareholder consortium composed of Malakoff Médéric (December 2016) and Elior (October 2017) in order to accelerate the development of Nouveal e-santé, a leading operator in patient journey digitization, covering both outpatient care and chronic diseases (Oncology, COPD, Psychiatry).

Nouveal e-santé has been offering healthcare establishments and pharmaceuticals its full range of expertise in patient journey digitization since 2013, governed by the principles of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) and generalized outpatient care in order to reduce the average period of full hospitalization. Nouveal e-santé has demonstrated its expertise in the digitization of patients’ medical treatments and administrative protocols during and after their stay at a healthcare establishment.

La Poste and Nouveal e-santé share the objective of participating in the modernization of the healthcare system by offering innovative services, notably patient journey digitization and improving patient treatment and monitoring at home.

This transaction is part of the La Poste group’s strategy of diversification into home-based services and healthcare.

The publisher of the “e-fitback” digital solution for tracking patients and managing the care journey, Nouveal e-santé will benefit from the infrastructure, solutions and expertise of Docapost in order to pursue its growth and develop its range of services: digital health records, e-signature, online payment, digital hub, data management…

Depending on the healthcare establishment’s particular needs, Nouveal e-santé may also exploit the existing services of La Poste or its partners in order to safeguard patients’ return home: transportation of medicine, meal deliveries, personal services, etc.
